Client Portal and Magic Links

Vilulia's client portal gives dispute parties secure, self-service access to their case without requiring them to create a Vilulia account or set a password. Access is granted via a magic link — a time-limited URL sent to the party's email address, valid for 7 days. Through the portal, parties can view case status, upload documents, send messages, and e-sign settlement agreements.

How magic links work

Parties access the portal at portal.vilulia.com. When a case manager sends a portal invitation from the case detail page, Vilulia generates a magic link containing a signed JWT that expires after 7 days. The party clicks the link in their email and is authenticated directly — no account or password is created. The token is scoped to a single case, so a party can only access the case they were invited to. The link can be used multiple times within the 7-day window. After 7 days the token expires; a new magic link can be sent at any time from the Parties tab.

What parties can do in the portal

Within the client portal, a party can:

  • View the current case status and key dates
  • Upload documents relevant to their case
  • Send and receive messages with the mediator (main channel only)
  • Review and e-sign the settlement agreement when it is ready
  • Join scheduled video sessions

Parties cannot view other parties' caucus messages, access AI tools, or modify case settings.

Sending a magic link

From within a case, open the Parties tab and click Send Portal Invitationnext to the party you want to invite. Vilulia sends the magic link to the party's registered email address. You can resend the link at any time from the same screen. Portal access can also be revoked from this tab if needed.

Plan requirements

The client portal is available as an add-on on all tiers — Starter, Professional, and Enterprise. It is not included by default in any base plan. The add-on also enables theparty_messaging feature, which allows parties to send messages through the portal and unlocks real-time chat for Starter-tier tenants that would not otherwise have it.
